The Scriptorium
The Scriptorium is the collaborative effort of content providers for the Order of Saint Benedict Website.
The purpose and mission of The Scriptorium is
- to support the life and work of
- Saint John's Abbey and its monks by providing information about the Order of Saint Benedict and by fostering the acquisition of acceptable web skills by anyone
- in a way that
- models good WWW electronic publishing practice by producing hypertext content of the highest quality, accuracy, timeliness and accessibility,
- so that
- members benefit from the exercise of WWW publishing skills through conjunctions of mentoring and apprenticeship.
Membership in the Scriptorium is voluntary, and all content providers to the <OSB.org/> website are, by definition, members of The Scriptorium.
